Median estimates from aggregated 6-month market data. The more mass-market a vertical's audience and the higher its baseline engagement — the lower the typical cost per subscriber. Sharp YoY price changes usually relate to news cycles in the vertical (elections, IPOs, industry events).

§ 03 · Methodology

How thereport is built

Affmid compiles an industry summary from public sources — editorial analytics of the Telegram ad market, not reports on specific campaigns. Figures in the table are median market estimates for a typical campaign in the specified vertical, format, and country.

Step № 01

Data sources

Public rates from Telegram ad networks, open rates on partner platforms, industry reports from analytics services TGStat and Telemetr, and industry-media publications from the last 6 months.

Step № 02

Normalization & filtering

Data is normalized to a single currency (USD) using the period's average rate. One-off promotional rates and atypical placements are excluded from the sample. Only placements with a completed cycle and confirmed effectiveness via public metrics are included.

Step № 03

Why median

A single very expensive or very cheap placement can skew the average. The median takes the «middle» of the market — it's harder to throw off with rare cases. The typical range shows prices that are usually paid for advertising: the cheapest and most expensive cases are excluded. If there is little data for a vertical or country, the figure is marked as «low sample» — treat it as a reference, not a precise number.

Questionsabout benchmarks

Where does the data come from? +
From public sources in the Telegram ad market: public rates from ad networks, industry reports from analytics services, industry-media publications. Affmid aggregates this data and publishes a review once a month as editorial analytics.
Why is CPF in Premium 7× higher than Inhouse? +
Premium is a precision format for narrow B2B and expert niches: a quality lead matters more than mass reach, so cost per subscriber is higher. Inhouse is a mass-market format for steady channel growth with predictable cost per subscriber. Ask the manager for details.
Why is data sparse for some verticals? +
Not all verticals have equally broad presence in the Telegram ad market — for narrowly specialized directions there are few public placements. In such cases the figure is marked as «low sample»: treat it as a reference, not a precise value.
How often do you update? +
Once a month, typically on the 1st–5th. A rolling 6-month window — so fresh trends (news cycles, seasonal peaks) make it into the median while stale observations drop out. Current build date — april 2026.
What if my CPF is above the median — is that bad? +
Not necessarily. The median is the market's average price, but it doesn't account for your content quality, channel size, posting frequency, geo, and a dozen other factors. If your cost per subscriber falls within the typical range — you're in good shape. If above the upper bound — there's room to improve (order an audit).

Review data is collected from public sources and is informational. Actual performance of a specific ad campaign depends on many factors: vertical, geo, format, content and creative quality, seasonality, and current rates from ad networks. Benchmarks are not a guarantee of results and are not a public offer from Affmid to place at the listed rates.
